My grandfather at 80 decided that he was going to have a family reunion. We had not had one since I was a child, and our family was scattered around the world. My grandfathers wished that at least for one last time that we could join together and reunite with family members that had gone from site and rekindle relationships. Family is and remains to be the most important thing to him.
His children and grandchildren were easy to find, but what about the others? Most of our distant family had traveled the world. Several served in the military and moving every few years as the military does did not make it easy to find them. My grandfather was determined that everyone would be in attendance.
He tried Google, the white pages and although after much time and effort these had become suitable means, still some were missing. It took almost a year for everyone to be found and invited, but he achieved his goal. When all was said and done the family reunion was a huge success. Family traveled from around the world, from Texas, Florida, California and yes even overseas, so many were their. New friends were made and relationships were rekindled, by all accounts it was a huge success, and the most important thing he was happy.
My grandfather ended up turning to a people search [http://peoplesearchincorp.com/] website. There he was able to narrow down the family from those that only had the same name. Their phone numbers and addresses were there, and all that was left to do was invite them. The countless research done on Google and the white pages seemed meaningless at this point. Within no time at all our family was found and he could relax and enjoy the moment.
Are you searching for long lost family members and friends who you have lost contact with, maybe it's time to find them.
