One of the things my family will always remember me for is when I decided to customize socks for our last family reunion. Everyone got such a laugh when they opened up their goody bags to find a pair of green "Farrell" family edition socks. I will never forget their reaction.
My sister, Jesse and I are always on family reunion goody bag duty when the family gets together. It means a lot to our family members to be able to take a little something home to remember the day.
When brainstorming some ideas for the last gathering, Jesse mentioned having some Farrell family t-shirts printed. Although a good idea, it seems like everyone does printed t-shirts for events. Then it hit me, if you can customize t-shirts, you have to be able to customize other fun clothing, like say...socks! Why not?
So, I hopped online to see if it was a feasible idea. All kinds of sock designs were going through my head; and, I have to say, it got me a little excited. To my delight, this wasn't just a feasible idea, but an awesome idea. I got a box of super quality socks with the exact design I had in my head, and for cheaper than the t-shirt idea. The Farrell family was going to be flashing their Irish pride in no time.
The day was one to remember. Beautiful weather and the best turnout we've ever had. As soon as the goody bags were passed out, everyone was into them with laughs all the way around. In no time, people were swapping the socks they had shown up in for their new customized socks. What a sight!
I would recommend using customized socks for any kind of family event. They were a sure crowd pleaser, and now everyone has a little something to remember the day.
